Sukeban

Sukeban is an intimate 22-seat restaurant located on the vibrant Commerical corridor in New Orleans, inspired by traditional Japanese izakayas—small, informal bars or gathering spots. The interior design embraces a warm, minimalist material palette and features simple, intimate architectural elements that reflect traditional Japanese design principles.

The thoughtful design complements the limited, high-quality menu and the atmosphere is relaxed yet refined. Named after Japan's 1970s schoolgirl gangs, or "sukeban," the restaurant weaves a subtle cultural homage into its design and concept.
